About Me
Hi!! My name is Josie O'Hara, and I am a photographer based in the beautiful Branson, Missouri. I am currently a High School Graphic Design teacher. My #1 hobby is photography! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors, working out and being active, hanging out with my husband & dogs. I have an Australian Shepard/Lab mix named Jasmine, a German Shepard named Nova, and a "super mutt" named Paisley who showed up at my doorstep. They are my best friends in the whole world!! We have recently added 2 kitties to the mix, and there is never a dull moment in our home!

I look forward to meeting YOU, learning all about you, and capturing your journey!!

I grew up in Ohio on a farm — which explains two things right away: my love for animals and my comfort with a little dirt on my boots. I played softball and basketball in high school, but my heart always belonged to rodeo. Rodeo is actually what brought me to Missouri (fun twist, right?). I went to Missouri Valley College and was on the rodeo team there, and honestly, those were some of the best years of my life. I learned so much, grew even more, and met my husband along the way — so I’d say it worked out pretty well.
After graduating, I landed my teaching job, which ultimately led me right here. And I genuinely love where I’m at. It feels like home in all the ways that matter.
My dad is the real reason photography became part of my life. If it weren’t for him, I probably never would’ve picked up a camera in the first place. He’s been taking photos “just for fun” for as long as I can remember — and somehow always managed to be the guy photographing every rodeo. When I left for college, he sent me with a camera of my own… and the rest is kind of history.
Now I’m carving my own path, finding my own style, and telling stories in a way that feels true to me — all while following the incredible example he set. And I’m really grateful for that.
